Well, I had my weigh in at Jenny Craig’s and, even with a birthday celebration a few days prior I was able to drop 1.8kgs. That means I’ve lost 2.6 kgs in two weeks. Very cool.
However, each morning I get on the scale and have a quick look and it’s not always pretty. A gram here or there isn’t all that motivating. I’m told just to weigh weekly so I get a better idea of how the weight management is going. So it is at the weekly weigh-ins that I take notice. During the week I’m not so sure the scale is my best friend. I am sure it lies to me. Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Something else I’m sticking to is the diet.
I’m on a 6400kJ diet through Jenny Craig and I am pleased to say it’s working. I do get peckish but so far I have armed myself with allowable food throughout the day. Weekends can be a challenge because it’s when I have down time. It’s at those times I used to “pick” at food and that’s a danger. Now I go for water, eat a carrot or a capsicum.
The food from JC is great because it is not ‘diet food’. It’s mostly regular food in the appropriate size as opposed to a weird type of diet food. That will mean when I come off the set menu I will be able to use regular foods to maintain my weight.
Exercise is Important as Well.
And it is something I haven’t been consistent in. So my weight loss could have been more. No sense beating myself up about it but a quick 4km run/walk every day only takes 30 minutes. I generally feel good about myself after doing it and it also let’s me listen to my favourite music without disturbance.
So, in summary, so far so good and in a week’s time I’ll hopefully have lost another kilo or two, added the regular run to my regime and find I am getting fitter as well.
Best of luck to you all in your endeavours.
