Day 103 – Perfect Week – Days 3 & 4

by Bill Wallace on July 17, 2008

Some Wins and Some Losses in the past two days.

I’m happy with the fact that after we got back from the Mother In Law’s at 8:30 pm my FBH and I looked at each other and said: “Let’s walk!” So we did. It was cold and a little windy so I was pleased with our fortitude. 4km in 35 minutes tracked perfectly by my new Garmin 305. (Gotta Getta Garmin!)

The downside to the day was that I had taken the day off for family reasons and neglected the 1.8ml of water goal, I also neglected the 100 Push Ups (You can see how this is going, can’t you!)

Being married into an Italian family and having dinner at Mum’s meant two things: lasagne and red wine – there goes the “nil alcohol” goal. Plus YOU try stopping at one serving of Mum’s lasagne!

Okay, so yesterday started real well, in fact I achieved the 1 day of vegetarian yesterday (1 to go) but the water intake was only around 1 litre. No run and no push ups or sit ups. :(

So the Perfect Week has fallen in a hole, sorry to say.

Failure or Relapse?

I was taught years ago that you only fail when you don’t get up and try again.

So this is just a relapse.

I will do this again and make sure I get the 7 days in of how I want to live my life. I am more than content to have the odd fun day and celebrate an achievement but mostly I want to eat well and maintain a good weight and health.

Eat better :: Move more.

So we start again.

Back to a good run tonight, eat vegetarian all day so I’ll make my two day target of vege only.

Tomorrow night we are attending a Charity Ball, so I’ll be up front and suggest some alcohol will be consumed. But I have never been drunk in my life and won’t start tomorrow. :)

The table of my week that I posted last time I will update later today. Got to get ready for work.

    Yeah, life happens. :) Not tow worry, there’s always tomorrow. I do have to laugh though, in the middle of my “perfect week” we are forecast 100+kmh winds!!! Not sure I would run in that!

    Don’t sweat a few lapses – I’d be modifying at least one of my goals – zero is a very absolute number.
