Another good day. Didn’t get up at 5:30am (it was 4.7C) but I did make sure I left work early enough to run 6.5 kms tonight.
The run was good though I was convincing myself all the way home that I had to do it. Anyway, I got home, got changed and headed out. I have new runners (Brooks Dyads) and they seem comfortable but I do get arch pain so it’s probably back to the podiatrist to get the orthotics looked at. Meanwhile, it’ll be back out with the Brooks GTS for every day until the Dyads are fixed.
The run incorporates a long hill that next time I will do twice. This is in preparation for the City to Surf which had about 5 reasonably long climbs, 4 of which are right at the end.
This run was better than the last one by around 2 minutes but speed is not really the issue. Just getting out and doing it is good at the moment.
Dinner was fish and vegetables so that’s not a bad end to the day.
Breakfast was muesli (1/2 a cup) and yoghurt again. No more yoghurt though. Tomorrow will be milk, Muesli and all bran.
Snacks were banana (am) and small tin of baked beans (pm).
More water today though it was probably only a litre. I need to double that.
I start the 200 Sit Up program in earnest tomorrow after my initial test yesterday of 25. Again, no world records, just complete the program. I’ll also do the initial test for the 100 push up program. Tomorrow is also bike work, not a run. 15 minutes on the bike set up out the back.

The new toy seems to be doing well. Next run I will use the Nike+ tool AND Log Your Run with the GPS. This’ll be interesting to see any real variance in distance. Always fun. I also have the option for the Map My Run program as well.
So far so good …
