Beautiful Run on Gold Coast, Queensland

by Bill Wallace on January 17, 2010

Had a good run yesterday at the Gold Coast. Starting with a few stretches and then teaming up with a work colleague (Mars) we headed off from Kurrawa Surf Life Saving and heading north toward the Gold Coast shopping precinct.
The atmosphere in Queensland at this time of year is awesome. Warm, inviting and plenty of healthy people getting fit as well. Just makes you want to more.
Running along the coast isn’t too difficult either ;)
Recovery was at a local restaurant where we had eggs, spinach and mushrooms. I also had a couple of coffees. One of which was “corrected” with a dash of sambuca. (something we picke up on our trip to Italy)
100 Push Ups
Later in the day it was back into the 100 Push Ups. This always makes me slightly nervous as I want to complete the daily tasks but worry I won’t make it.
I pause more than a minute between sets. Not sure if that is “cheating” or unhelpful but but seems to be working. My final set which was at least a minimum of 15 ended up being 21. Happy with that.

I think it says minimum rest is 60 secs not maximum. ;)

I want to do the Gold Coast marathon. Thinking of maybe 2011 or 12.
