Finally a morning run

by Bill Wallace on August 23, 2010

With the City to Surf just a week away I finally got up at 5am for a run this morning.

(I had asked the FBH to make sure I got up so there I am getting dressed and this murmur for  the bed “Honey, go for your run!” Well I guess she kept her part of the deal! ) :)

A bit weird. 3.1C. Dark, clear skies and stars everywhere. Quite amazing at the same time. Anyway the run was good which also took in quite a long, steep hill. The C2S starts off with a 1km climb so the hill today was very intentional. Heart almost broke through the ribs at the top but it felt good.

Overall 6km in around 40mins. (I forget to set the 305 correctly at the start! :)

Isn’t it nice to have the run over and the full day ahead. Wow. 3.1C? We’re still baking here in the northern hemisphere with daily highs hitting 90F.

I did my first triathlon yesterday. Pretty fun.

Yes it’s still a bit “crisp” :) Looking forward to warmer weather. How did you go in the Tri?

Yes, it was quite refreshing. Felt good.

Congratulations on your morning run! I’m not sure I could convince myself to get out of bed early for a run… Kudos!
