A Critique of the USDA Guidelines

by Bill Wallace on January 5, 2012

Having a browse around my favourite health sites the other day came across this at the Weston A Price Foundation.

Very interesting. I think this all comes down to economics to be honest. If the governments of the day who support the current food pyramid ever moved away from it, they would have a few legal cases to defend plus the obvious disaster of putting a lot of people out of work. That just isn’t going to happen!

One slide that blew me away was the vitamin content of liver. Check that one out! (Video 1, I think). I immediately Googled “The best way to cook liver.” :)

Enjoy!

The continued perpetuation of this utter bullshit by governments is nothing short of criminal! The Taubes books really opened my eyes.

    Hi Andrew

Totally agree, that is why I think it is more economics than health that is at stake here. The evidence is becoming overwhelming with the Australian & New Zealand Food body here recently approving the sale of raw hard cheese. They still don’t allow the sale of raw milk but at least it is a step.
