Weigh in Sunday 2

by Bill Wallace on January 29, 2012

I have tried to avoid this but my conscience won’t let me. Weigh in Sunday!

Last week I was 86kg. This week I am 87.1kg! There are a couple of possible causes:

  • The scales need new batteries
  • I need to eat & exercise better
I’d love to take #1 but I think #2 is more realistic.

My goal of 75kg is getting further away!

But wait (or should that be “butt weight”) FebFast begins on Wednesday where I consume no alcohol for all of February. I am SO looking forward to it.

I am actually wondering though if I have crossed some metabolic line. That, no matter what I eat, I have to work a LOT harder to lose weight. I guess we’ll see during February.

I’ve also tried to look back at 2008 to see what I did exercise wise that helped me lose 6kgs so well. Part of that journey was Jenny Craig and the weekly weigh ins. I’d like not to be that dependent on a commercial 3rd party.

I thought I pretty much logged everything on either NikePlus or Slowgeek but NikePlus show next to nothing and I seem to have lost me login to Slowgeek.

So I’m still hunting for that while later on today I resume my 10km run on a Sunday, which is something I did do back in 2008.

So, next week’s weigh in should be better than today’s.

Bill, during my weight loss I hit the same barrier. I got from 110kg to about 86kg (I was going to say easily, but it was quite easy), then hit the wall. The only thing that got me through it was signing up with a PT, who then got me into running. Maybe a six weeks session with a PT might get you through the barrier too. They push, and then push some more.

Bill have you tried just tracking your weight daily? I find when I do that I am much more aware of what I’m doing each day. I use physicsdiet.com as my main tracker but recently I’ve been quite enjoying using http://www.beeminder.com as well.

Yep, you might be right Andrew. I’ll ask at Jetts to see if they offer that. Might need a running partner too, just to get me off my ass at times. :)

Interesting that I do weigh in daily but don’t track it. Might try the physics diet, cheers.
