Last week as attitude readjustment! This week was the flu!
Since my great Sunday, I caught a dose of some bug that was going round. Sneezing, head aches and the like. Looking for sympathy. Getting none!
I was meant to do the 100 Push Ups Week 3 this week but didn’t attempt Day [...]

Day 56 - A Good Run = A Good Day
June 2nd, 2008 1 Comment
Thanks to Joe Thorne over at Learning to Run I was “up and at ‘em” yesterday. I wanted to find some magic in my runs, rather than just complete the distance. So I grabbed the FBH and we headed for the coast. We’re about 17km inland in suburbia.
The run starts around 3km from Hillarys Boat [...]

Day 54 (b) - Really Good Blog Reads
May 31st, 2008 1 Comment
Apart from my own desire to be more healthy, I read some really good blogs about what others are doing. These are “normal” people who have similar desires and struggles that I have. So to see them succeed and read their story it really (I mean REALLY) is inspiring.
Check ‘em out … REALLY!

Day 31 - Small Goals Lead to BIG Wins!
May 8th, 2008 2 Comments
Yesterday was a good day for me.
For one simple reason: My usual 4km run/walk was completed at 9:01pm after a late start. I’d left work later than normal, had a light dinner and watched a couple of shows.
I had planned a rest day.
But then I thought (but not too much) “with everyone out and me [...]

Day 18 - Are We There Yet? (The journey to better health)

I also discovered there were no tickets for the Anzac [...]

Day 8 - How to Become Above Average
April 15th, 2008 No Comments
I had a brain wave the other day and think I have worked out a way to prove, beyond all doubt, where I am in almost any given activity.
You’ll see on my About page that I list myself as average. I’m a generally good person, a reasonable personality that some can take and some can [...]

Day 4 (b) - The Scale Always Lies!
April 11th, 2008 No Comments
Well, I had my weigh in at Jenny Craig’s and, even with a birthday celebration a few days prior I was able to drop 1.8kgs. That means I’ve lost 2.6 kgs in two weeks. Very cool.
However, each morning I get on the scale and have a quick look and it’s not always pretty. A gram [...]

Day 1 - When All Else Fails
April 8th, 2008 No Comments
Ok, I gave in! I had been trying to lose weight, get fit, be happier and generally more fulfilled for years. Don’t misunderstand, I have a great job, great family, few but loyal friends - I just wasn’t as fit and healthy as I’d expected to be.
I was tired, overweight, unfit (can’t run a mile) [...]
